New Aston Martin for the 007
It looks like Daniel Craig will not be disappointed with the latest James Bond hypercar. Previously known as the AM-RB 003, it is now officially known as the Aston Martin Valhalla and set to appear in the upcoming Bond 25 movie along with DB5 and Aston Martin V8 models. Mr Bond will have plenty of choices when it comes to cars in his new movie.
The son of Valkyrie
The new Valhalla has been nicknamed as “The son of Valkyrie” as both cars share similar looks and carry many of the same technologies. Although these cars have similar features, there are some significant differences too. Valkyrie was designed with a track-focused approach in mind, where Valhalla is more suited for everyday use.
Collaborative effort
The new Valhalla is a result of collaborative works between the Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing engineers. It is scheduled to hit production in 2021 and will be limited to 500 coupe versions. Valhalla will be the first-ever road car to use the Castrol Nexcel 90-second oil change system (previously used in track-only Aston Martin Vulcan).
The car will be powered by twin-turbo V6 engine returning 986bhp — just 2.5 seconds to get from 0 to 60mph. Michelin tyres will be on it keeping this hypercar under control.
Price Tag
While the exact price is not confirmed yet, but the industry sources say it will be priced approx. 1.2 to 1.5 million euros.
