Hard task of advertising tyres
Tyres are a very much boring subject. Unless you are about to purchase one, most people would have no interest in learning latest tyre brands and trends.
Therefore, advertising tyres is one difficult task. Promoting them during the motorsport events is self-explanatory. But where do you go from there??
Well, it looks like football is the new favourite advertisement field for tyre companies.
Tyres in football is the new way
Not sure if it is down to good work of commercial club managers or the good return for tyre makers, but the collaboration between the two industries is on.
Some companies are involved more than others. For example, for Hankook, funding the biggest football team in the world – Real Madrid FC isn’t enough. They are also sponsoring the whole UEFA league.
Football sponsorship is getting so popular that even a so-called “budget” brands are going into it.
